WESTERN GHATS 
-PERSONAL PROJECT-

One can almost call this region the Amazon of India because of the bio diversity. In addition to it's existing treasure of flora and fauna, new species are being discovered consistently.

​But currently this region is under a huge threat due to deforestation. The draft EIA 2020 gives sanctions for development activities in the Western Ghats like construction of railway lines, transport corridors, mining, electricity lines and much more. This will create a huge, long term and detrimental impact on our forests and it's ecosystems. Many habitats here are already threatened, the animals are critically endangered and on the verge of extinction.
