Commissioned by UNIQLO, this collection celebrates Pune through two distinct visual narratives inspired by the city's evolving identity. While rooted in the same place, each illustration offers a different perspective – one exploring the harmony between urban growth, nature, and heritage, the other capturing the vibrant rhythm of everyday life through familiar streets, local landmarks, wildlife, and cultural moments.
PUNE BALANCE
A minimal interpretation of Pune that explores the delicate balance between urban growth, nature, and the city's rich heritage. Inspired by Pune's evolving skyline, iconic landmarks, and everyday culture, the illustration brings together familiar symbols in a clean, contemporary composition. As the city continues to transform, what makes Pune special is its ability to embrace change while remaining deeply connected to its natural landscapes and cultural roots. This artwork reflects that coexistence through a calm and balanced visual language.
EVERYDAY PUNE
A celebration of old Pune and the moments that give the city its character. Historic architecture, bustling streets, local markets, familiar wildlife, and everyday transport come together in a vibrant geometric composition that captures the warmth, nostalgia, and rhythm of daily life. More than its landmarks, Pune is defined by the little moments that create a sense of belonging. This illustration celebrates the everyday experiences that connect the people of Pune to the city they call home.
STORE LAUNCH
Being present at the Uniqlo store launch in Pune made this project even more meaningful. Seeing the collection displayed in person and watching people discover the designs was a memorable experience, bringing the journey from concept to finished product full circle. As someone born and raised in Pune, it made the collaboration feel especially personal.
